Bernadette Mooney Burke, PMHNP-BC is delighted to be working at Star Psychiatric Healthcare, LLC. After graduating from Fordham University with a BS in Psychology, Bernadette worked as a Behavioral Health Counselor before going back to school to receive her BS in Nursing. Bernadette spent 28 years working as a Psychiatric Registered Nurse in residential setting as a direct care nurse, supervisor, and Nurse Manager for the Inpatient Adolescent Psychiatric Services at Four Winds Hospital. In 2021 Bernadette received her Master’s Degree in Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing from Stoneybrook University. Bernadette is licensed in both Connecticut and New York and is Board Certified by the ANCC. Bernadette is also a provider with Family and Children’s Aid of CT.
Bernadette is originally from Long Island but has resided in Dutchess County, NY for the past 22 years with her husband. She and her husband have three grown children. In her spare time, she enjoys bicycling, reading, gardening, and teaching 1st grade faith formation. Her favorite place is the beach.
