Michele Novella, PMHNP-BC , PMHCNS-BC, is the medical director and owner of Star Psychiatric Healthcare in Danbury CT. She is a past member of Western Connecticut Health Network’s medical staff where she worked in the Behavioral Health Department including Crisis Intervention, Intensive Outpatient Program running groups and teaching Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT)
Jewel Barboza, PMHNP-BC, currently shares her professional time between Star Psychiatric Healthcare, LLC, and Family Services of Westchester, NY. After graduating, from Empire State College, Jewel worked as a RN at Stony Lodge Hospital, where she worked for 7 years, in various settings including; Psychiatric Inpatient Unit, PHP, and Outpatient Psychiatry as a Psychiatric Mental Health Practitioner – Board Certified by the ANCC. Jewel is licensed in both CT and NY. In addition, holds the title of Adjunct Professor of Nursing at Westchester Community College.
Over the past 20 years, Lynn has worked with children of all ages and socioeconomic backgrounds in a variety of clinical settings. After many years as a Registered Nurse in the NICU at New York Hospital-Cornell Medical Center, she obtained her master’s degree from Boston College as a Clinical Nurse Specialist. She then earned her post master’s degree from Stony Brook University and became a Board Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner.
Bernadette Mooney Burke, PMHNP-BC is delighted to be working at Star Psychiatric Healthcare, LLC. After graduating from Fordham University with a BS in Psychology, Bernadette worked as a Behavioral Health Counselor before going back to school to receive her BS in Nursing. Bernadette spent 28 years working as a Psychiatric Registered Nurse in residential setting as a direct care nurse, supervisor, and Nurse Manager for the Inpatient Adolescent Psychiatric Services at Four Winds Hospital. In 2021 Bernadette received her Master’s Degree in Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing from Stoneybrook University. Bernadette is licensed in both Connecticut and New York and is Board Certified by the ANCC.
