Andrea Dolan MPH, FNP-BC, APRN is excited to join the Star Psychiatric Healthcare, LLC team. Andrea began her medical career at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York City as a Pediatric Oncology Nurse after graduating from the College of New Rochelle in New York, where she received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing.  Andrea went on to pursue her Master Degree in Public Health from New York University. Andrea has achieved a Post Masters Degree Certification as a Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner.

In addition to joining Star Psychiatric Healthcare team, she has spent the last several years as a Palliative Care APRN on the Supportive Care Service at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, New York overseeing and administering care for the department’s young adults with terminal cancers. She is considered a leader in her field for her expertise in maximizing her patients’ quality of life, while helping them and their families negotiate the significant challenges associated with terminal illnesses. In addition to the medical challenges inherent in this population, Andrea has gained mastery of the varied psychological and mental health issues facing all patients.  These include Depressive Disorders, Grief and Loss, Anxiety and Panic Disorders, PTSD, OCD and phobias and fears surrounding medical treatment.

Her role as a single Mother of three (now adult) children has afforded her insights in conditions such as ADHD, learning disorders and the challenges associated with Parenting.

Andreas’ infectious optimism and enthusiasm for the continued pursuit of the latest research in the medical and mental health realm will be an important addition to Star Psychiatrics team of dedicated providers.
