Jewel Barboza, PMHNP-BC, currently shares her professional time between Star Psychiatric Healthcare, LLC, and Family Services of Westchester, NY. After graduating, from Empire State College, Jewel worked as a RN at Stony Lodge Hospital, where she worked for 7 years, in various settings including; Psychiatric Inpatient Unit, PHP, and Outpatient Psychiatry as a Psychiatric Mental Health Practitioner – Board Certified by the ANCC. Jewel is licensed in both CT and NY. In addition, holds the title of Adjunct Professor of Nursing at Westchester Community College.

Jewel’s areas of expertise include adult, child and adolescent treatment for mood disorders, depression, anxiety, PTSD, ADHD, and other brain-based illnesses.

Jewel is originally from Sleepy Hollow, NY, and recently moved to CT with her husband, teenage son, dog “Spencer”, and bird “Nugget”. She is an avid N.Y. Rangers fan and enjoys live music of all genres. In her spare time she also volunteers at Family Services of Westchester, and Big Brothers Big Sisters.
